Allen Pusey, the Journal’s former Editor and Publisher, retired from the magazine in 2016 but continues to write the Precedents column. Named editor and publisher in October 2011, Pusey first joined the ABA Journal staff as managing editor in 2007. He had been a reporter and special projects editor at the Dallas Morning News, the Dallas Times Herald and the El Paso Times. Pusey holds a B.A. in sociology from the University of Texas at Dallas.
