The ABA Journal’s website is one of five nominees for a Webby Award in the Law category. You can vote for us at this link.

ABAJournal.com was named a finalist for the prestigious award judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, which received more than 13,000 entries in its 19th annual contest honoring the best of the Internet.

Also nominated in the category: Jurist Legal News and Research; Cooley LLP’s CooleyGo; TSMP Law Corporation, a Singapore-based law firm; and Perma.cc, which helps legal researchers create permanent links to works they cite on the Internet.

Winners will be announced April 27 and honored at a ceremony in New York, hosted by Hannibal Buress on May 18.

The Webby Awards are known in part for their requirement that winning acceptance speeches be brief: just five words.

When the Journal won the People’s Voice vote in 2008, readers were asked to vote on the speech that then-Web editor Molly McDonough delivered on stage. The winning speech, “Had we lost, we’d sue.”
