Former San Francisco U.S. Attorney Kevin Ryan is is joining 200-lawyer Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis as a litigation partner.

Prior to becoming U.S. Attorney in 2002, Ryan was a San Francisco Superior Court and Municipal Court judge, according to San Francisco’s The Recorder.

He was one of eight U.S. Attorneys around the nation fired by the Bush Administration in recent months, which has prompted a political firestorm in Washington, D.C. His new firm had average profits per partner of $740,000 last year; it would not say how much Ryan will be paid.
