A four-lawyer financial transactions and restructuring team from Pryor Cashman led by partner Ronald Sarubbi is moving to Perkins Coie, where Sarubbi will head the corporate trust practice.

The move, which brings the total attorney roster in the firm’s New York office to 15, is part of a plan for ongoing growth for Perkins Coie there. The firm, which was founded in Seattle and presently has about 870 lawyers, is presently looking for a larger office space in the Big Apple, Schuyler Carroll, who heads the New York office, told the New York Law Journal.

Ronald Shechtman, who serves as managing partner of Pryor Cashman, said a significant amount of the work the team has been doing will stay at his 125-attorney firm. which will not be adversely impacted by the move. His firm, he said, brought in a record $70 million plus in revenue last year and is likely to set another record in 2012.
