Dear members, I, with teary eyes,
Implore you to beware,
You’ve heard of tragic Newtown,
Well, I live not far from there,
And if you can just put aside,
Your issues with my hair,
I shall tell you why you don’t need,
Any arms to keep and bear.
Now, “Assault weapons” are evil,
And they can’t keep you secure,
I’d tell you why, if I had,
Any notion what they were,
And yes, we plainly need to take,
Your magazines away,
But still those mean old Congress people,
Won’t do what I say.
Sure, all this crap I advocate,
May be of no real use,
But on the NRA,
We can heap partisan abuse,
The liberals - they will love us,
Though some members we may lose,
But I have to think that’s why you fools,
Keep sending me your dues.
Our numbers may be dwindling,
Yes, we may be down to six,
But all our colleagues who have left,
Are unenlightened hicks,
We’re grateful for the stalwart few,
Steadfastly with us still,
A mooncalf, and a sheep,
And three old guys from Naperville.
We’re so freakin’ inclusive,
That our views we freely share,
We want to be the go-to gang,
For lawyers everywhere,
As long as they’re all lefties,
And agree what e’re we say,
And to Hell with the profession,
Because we’re the B-A-A.
Listen to the song.
