Picture it, Florida 2000. The presidential elections were over, but there was no clear winner. The chads were to blame. Some Chads were dimpled, some were dangling, but most were hanging. The Peeps were confused and felt disenfranchised. This was a case for the Supreme Court of the United Peeps. Clearly there was not an option that would please all Peeps, but a decision had to be made. While there was a recount going on in Florida, the Supreme Peeps ruled 5-4 that the recount was unconstitutional, violating the 14th Amendment. To quote Justice John Peep Stevens, “Although we may never know with complete certainty the identity of the winner of this year’s Peepsidential election, the identity of the loser is perfectly clear. It is the Peep Nation’s confidence in the judge as an impartial guardian of the rule of law.”
