Which firms top the Am Law 100? And how much did their revenue grow?

The nation’s 100 highest-grossing law firms had an average 6.6% increase in gross revenue last year, despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Law.com’s reporting on its Am Law 100.
The increase topped the 5% revenue growth for the Am Law 100 in 2019, Law.com reports. Across all 100 firms, revenue hit $111 billion. Revenue per lawyer increased nearly 5% to $1.05 million, while profits per equity partner increased 13.4% to $2.23 million.
These 10 law firms topped the Am Law 100 list:
• Kirkland & Ellis, with $4.83 billion in gross revenue.
• Latham & Watkins, with $4.33 billion in gross revenue.
• DLA Piper, with $3.13 billion in gross revenue.
• Baker McKenzie, with $2.89 billion in gross revenue.
• Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, with $2.66 billion in gross revenue.
• Sidley Austin, with $2.46 billion in gross revenue.
• Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, with $2.44 billion in gross revenue.
• White & Case, with $2.38 billion in gross revenue.
• Hogan Lovells, with $2.3 billion in gross revenue.
• Jones Day, with $2.22 billion in gross revenue.
These five law firms have the highest profits per equity partner:
• Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, with $7.5 million in PEP.
• Davis Polk & Wardwell, with $6.35 million in PEP.
• Kirkland & Ellis, with $6.19 million in PEP.
• Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, with $5.36 million in PEP.
• Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, with $5.23 million in PEP.
