To Kill a Mockingbird, the book that not only inspired the Harper Lee Prize for Legal Fiction but also inspired many readers to pursue law as a career, is back on the best-seller lists. This enduring classic centered largely around a single case: Atticus Finch’s criminal defense of Tom Robinson, a black man accused of raping and beating Mayella Ewell, a white woman.
