Wales Lawyer Pens Life-Based Thrillers
The law may not be Peter Luther’s profession much longer, if his first novel continues to sell well.
In addition to Dark Continent, described as a supernatural thriller about a magazine geared to readers interested in a bizarre crossword, Luther, 45, also has two more novels in progress, reports the Penarth Times. He works for Rausa Mumford Solicitors in Cardiff, Wales.
The secret for writing a successful book, according to Luther, is to ground even a fantasical concept in reality that readers can relate to.
“Dark Covenant was inspired by the time I lost all my money in the technology crash, whereas my third book will draw on the experience of going through IVF treatment with my wife,” he tells the newspaper, referring to in vitro fertilization treatment for couples having difficulty conceiving a baby.
