Virginia Shooter Fit ‘Injustice’ Profile
Investigators say the youth who killed 32 students and faculty at Virginia Tech had characteristics of a criminal behavioral profile called the “Collector of Injustice.”
People with these characteristics consider any misfortunes they suffer to be the fault or responsibility of others, the Washington Post reports. Eventually they become overloaded with injustices and lash out violently.
Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives concluded Seung Hui Cho fit the profile as part of an investigation that began two months ago.
They also note that Cho apparently identified with the Biblical figure Ishmael, who lived as an outcast and was less favored than his brother Isaac. Cho referred to himself as “Ax Ishmael.”
