Vinson & Elkins Opens in Abu Dhabi
Vinson & Elkins has opened a new office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, making the law firm the first in the U.S. with offices there and in Dubai.
London-based V&E lawyer Lewis Jones will move to Abu Dhabi to become administrative partner, Legal Week reports. He said in a press release that the office was opened because of a demand for corporate, energy, and project finance work.
“The firm has a substantial client base in the Middle East, India, and North Africa, and the UAE’s proximity to these key strategic markets makes it an obvious choice for supporting our activities there,” he said.
