County Sheriff’s Office.
A former romantic partner charged with second-degree murder in the slaying last month of one of the top in-house lawyers at Boston Scientific has been found and arrested.
Officials said Lyle Marvin “Ty” Hoffman, 44, was arrested without incident, on foot, as he perused the menu at a fast-food restaurant in Shakopee, Minn. A concerned citizen had recognized the suspect, who was featured on wanted posters offering a $40,000 reward, and contacted authorities, reports the Star Tribune.
His former partner, Kelly Phillips, 48, was shot to death a month ago at a gas station outside Minneapolis.
An investigation is continuing in multiple jurisdictions to determine where Hoffman has been hiding and whether others helped him avoid arrest after he was charged in the slaying of Phillips, reports KMSP.
