Following the lead of at least six other New York-based international law firms in less than two years, Sullivan & Cromwell has added to its attorney roster in Hong Kong.

It has raided Hong Kong managing partner Ng Kay Ian and counsel Gwen Wong from a major London-based competitor, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, reports Bloomberg.

The move represents the third recent loss, for Freshfields, of a leading partner to a Wall Street rival: The firm’s Beijing managing partner jumped ship to Davis Polk & Wardwell and the chief of its China corporate practice was lured to Simpson Thacher & Bartlett within the past 12 months.
