Stanford Law School Is No. 1 in Blogger’s ‘Success Rankings’

Stanford Law School has the best success rate for its graduates, according to a ranking developed by a blogger using law school statistics from U.S. News & World Report.

TaxProf Blog used data for law graduates employed nine months after graduation, students employed at graduation, and graduates passing the bar, giving the greatest weight to the nine-month data (70 percent) and the least to bar passage (10 percent).

The top five law schools in TaxProf Blog’s “success rankings” are:

  1. Stanford (ranked third overall by U.S. News).

  2. Duke (ranked 10th overall by U.S. News).

  3. New York University (ranked fifth overall by U.S. News).

  4. University of California, Los Angeles (ranked 15th overall by U.S. News).

  5. Pennsylvania (ranked eighth overall by U.S. News).

In the U.S. News rankings, Yale law school is first overall, and Harvard is second.
