The 425-lawyer firm Snell & Wilmer has joined the field of firms targeting compensation to reduce costs. It will cut associate salaries by 10 percent.

The Phoenix Business Journal reports that the firm held meetings to announce the reductions on June 16.

The firm also announced it would be paying performance-based bonuses later than usual this year.

Reducing pay for associates follows staff layoffs. Last month, the firm announced it was laying off between 30 and 40 members of its support staff.
