Skadden has best-known law firm brand, survey says
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom is the top law firm brand in the United States, according to a survey of corporate counsel.
Skadden has taken top place for three years in a row, according to the American Lawyer (sub. req.) and a press release. The top five law firms by brand are:
1) Skadden
2) Jones Day
3) Kirkland & Ellis
4) Baker & McKenzie
5) Hogan Lovells

The Acritas survey is based on interviews with more than 700 in-house counsel here and abroad. The index was based on the lawyers’ answers to questions about the first law firms that come to mind, the firms they feel most favorably towards, the firms they most often use for multijurisdictional deals and litigation, and the firms they most use overall.
