Up against a final deadline to complete 240 hours of community service for a 2012 reckless driving conviction, did actress Lindsay Lohan cut some corners?
Celebrity attorney Shawn Holley represents Lohan and submitted proof Wednesday to a Los Angeles County judge that the community service has been completed, Bay Area News Group reports.
However, the prosecutor in the California case is suspicious that Lohan accomplished so much at the last minute and has been given time to look into the specifics of what exactly Lohan did to satisfy the work obligation, according to the New York Daily News and TMZ.
Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White suggested that Lohan was getting some credit for hanging out in London with her fans and told the court: “If this was Lindsay Smith, nobody would allow this,” USA Today reports.
If Lohan did not complete her community service, the prosecutor said, he will seek jail time.
