Prominent Calif. Attorney Struck and Killed While Jogging; Police Seek Hit-and-Run Driver
A prominent San Francisco lawyer and avid runner was struck and killed yesterday by a pickup truck as he was jogging.
Authorities are seeking the hit-and-run driver who struck Don Andrew Casper around 7 p.m. as he was running on River Road near Odd Fellows Park, reports the Press Democrat. The vehicle is described as a white Ford X-tra Cab pickup with front-end damage.
Casper, 63, was a partner of Jacobs Spotswood & Casper, a member of the San Francisco Civil Service Commission and had been active in state and county Republican leadership groups.
A Georgetown University law grad, he was a civil practitioner, the newspaper recounts. He had completed nine marathons.
