Prolific Hate Letter Writer Gets 4 Years
The Ohio man who wrote hundreds of hate-filled letters to black men, including U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, was sentenced to nearly four years in prison Tuesday.
In his courtroom apology, David Tuason explained he sent the letters because a black man “stole” his girlfriend, the Associated Press reports.
Tuason, who is of Filipino descent and resides in the Cleveland area, pleaded guilty in May to mailing the letters, in which he threatened to blow up, castrate or otherwise harm recipients.
The FBI tracked him down using a public library computer Tuason once used.
