Producer Researching Murder Case Lands on Jury
An NBC producer who was researching the murder case against music producer Phil Spector has landed on the jury, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The producer for Dateline NBC wrote in a jury questionnaire that he has read many court documents in the case and has met a defense expert in forensics.
Dallas jury consultant Robert Hirschhorn told the newspaper it’s unusual for someone with such knowledge of the case to be seated, but a journalist can be an open-minded juror.
Prosecutors say Spector shot and killed actress Lana Clarkson, who was found dead in his home.
