Outsourcing company opens Austin office, part of onshoring trend
Legal outsourcing company Integreon has opened an office in Austin, Texas, providing more evidence that law firms and companies are increasingly sending their outsourced work to offices in the United States rather than overseas.
The Austin office could employ as many as 300 people in the next few years, Corporate Counsel reports. Integreon also has offices in New York City; Arlington, Virginia; and Fargo, North Dakota.
Caragh Landry, who oversees the Austin office, says the “onshoring” trend is fueled by the tough job market for law grads. Legal process outsourcing companies can provide jobs with good upward mobility and work-life balance, while still providing a cost savings to companies and firms that use the services, she told Corporate Counsel.
Though onshoring is becoming more popular, outsourcing companies overseas still can offer more attractive pricing, Landry said. Some law departments and firms use outsourcing offices here and abroad, keeping especially sensitive matters within U.S. borders, Landry said.
