On a 'lateral hiring spree,' Holland & Knight acquires 10 lawyers from Greenberg Traurig
Holland & Knight has acquired 10 corporate lawyers, including five partners, from Greenberg Traurig in Miami.
Among those leaving Greenberg Traurig is David Barkus, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Miami corporate and securities practice, the Daily Business Review reports. The group’s corporate practice includes mergers and acquisitions, co-investments and joint ventures, according to a Holland & Knight press release.
“It’s unclear exactly why the lawyers made the switch,” according to the Daily Business Review. “But Holland has been on a lateral hiring spree, snapping up lawyers from other firms to open new offices in Connecticut, Houston and North Carolina.”
Other recent Holland & Knight press releases announce the addition of two intellectual property partners, a real-estate senior counsel, and a land use and zoning lawyer.
