At least 88 law offices have agreed to participate in a joint initiative by the ABA and the Environmental Protection Agency to encourage policies that help the environment, GreenBiz.com reports.

The number is more than triple the number of law firms and related groups that had agreed to participate in the program by late November. At that time, 27 groups were participating in the ABA-EPA Law Office Climate Challenge, the ABA Journal reported in January.

The program calls on law firms to reduce paper waste, increase energy efficiency and obtain some of their electricity from renewable resources.
