Just one federal appeals court has an equal number of active male and female judges.
The court is the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals at Atlanta, the Juris Lab reports. No circuit court has more women than men.
The court with the worst gender imbalance is the 8th Circuit at St. Louis. The ratio of male to female judges is 10-1.
Former President Donald Trump did not appoint more women than men to any of the federal appeals courts, according to the Juris Lab. But he did appoint an equal number of men and women to the 11th Circuit and the 10th Circuit at Denver.
Trump appointed only men to three appeals courts: the 2nd Circuit at New York, the 3rd Circuit at Philadelphia and the 8th Circuit, the blog reports.
