Even in today’s world, there is some bad behavior that doesn’t yet require a legal remedy. That rule applies, for instance, in the case of a German bank customer who, apparently after imbibing a few too many, reportedly bedded down—along with the horse he rode in on—in the ATM anteroom of his local bank.

Police were called by another customer, but they did not arrest the man despite an illicit “deposit” that had, in the meantime, also been made by his horse, Reuters reports.

“The horse was otherwise very well behaved and kept a good watch on his master,” a bank spokeswoman said Wednesday. “Perhaps we should have a supply of oats and water on the premises in future.” In the U.S., some banks do keep water bowls and dog biscuits on hand for canine visitors.
