New NFL Conduct Code for Fans
Football fans who misbehave can expect to be ejected from National Football League games under a new code of conduct announced today that applies both at the stadiums of the NFL’s 32 clubs and in their parking lots.
The new code prohibits, among other bad behavior, “unruly, disruptive, or illegal” conduct; drunkenness; foul or abusive language; obscene gestures; and verbal or physical harassment of fans of the opposing team, reports USA Today.
“The rules say season ticket holders and others fans are not only responsible for their own behavior but for that of guests or anybody else occupying their seats,” the newspaper writes. Those who don’t comply can be ejected from the game and banned from attending future games at the discretion of the local club.
Likewise, the club has the discretion to decide whether to refund the ticket price paid.
