A new law firm with offices in Minneapolis, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., will focus on issues related to electronic discovery, privacy and data retention.

The seven lawyers at the new Redgrave firm have experience in major law firms and Fortune 100 companies, the Washington Post reports. One of the partners, Jonathan Redgrave, a former partner at Nixon Peabody who co-chairs the E-Discovery Institute at Georgetown’s law school, told the Post that tech-related legal issues are growing for medium and large companies.

“A lot of lawyers don’t really understand computers, which creates an opportunity for those of us who do,” he said.

A press release says the firm is focusing on “information law” and will offer alternative fees.
