Mom Is Accused of Malicious Punishment for Daughter's Humiliating 'Diaper Duty'
A Minnesota mother and her boyfriend were arrested on Monday after the woman shaved her 12-year-old daughter’s head and sent her outside in a diaper and tank top, police say.
The Fridley, Minn., couple were arrested on suspicion of gross-misdemeanor malicious punishment of a child, report the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Police say the mom and her boyfriend were punishing the girl because her homework and grades were not satisfactory. The youth was ordered to pick up garbage in a “diaper duty” punishment, Fridley Police Lt. Mike Monsrud told the Pioneer Press.
Monsrud said the girl was hysterical when police arrived after a call from a neighbor. She and three other children have been placed in foster care.
