A 75-attorney law firm based in Milwaukee, Wisc., has opened a New York City office that will be run by two newly acquired partners.

Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan announced the establishment of its ninth office today, reports the Business Journal of Milwaukee. It will be run by Philip Berg and Angela Dorn, formerly of Berg & Dorn Law Partners in Manhattan.

“The move is aimed at strengthening the firm’s existing real estate, employment, and corporate and transactional groups and attracting new corporate and municipal clients based in the New York metropolitan area,” the article states.

“Nearly everyone would agree that New York is both the legal and business epicenter of the United States,” says partner Emery Harlan in a press release. “As our firm continues to grow aggressively, expanding into New York was the logical next step.

In addition to Milwaukee and New York City, the firm also has offices in Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Des Moines, Indianapolis, Las Vegas and Washington D.C.
