Masked Bandit Nabbed After Eating Courthouse Food
A masked intruder of the four-legged variety has been nabbed after breaching security at the federal courts building in Atlanta.
A raccoon who has been named “Russell” after the Richard B. Russell Federal Building was trapped in the ceiling on Monday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Bankruptcy Judge Paul Bonapfel reported last week that the intruder had gained entry to his office, where he ate part of an apple, left his papers in disarray and left paw prints on a stack of memos. In the following days the animal made off with chocolate-chip cookies, a sandwich and dried soup.
“My theory is, because he had a mask on, he got through security,” Bonapfel told the newspaper.
