Man survives being hit by train, is cited for criminal trespass
Someone hit by a train is lucky to have survived. Kristopher Wenberg did, but he was cited for criminal trespass because walking on the tracks is illegal, according to the Associated Press.
The 25-year-old told Shawnee County sheriff’s deputies he didn’t hear the approaching train in Topeka, Kan., on Thursday because he was wearing headphones.
Wenberg got up and made a call on his cellphone immediately after being struck, then went to a hospital to be treated for cuts on his shoulder and leg.
