Littler Mendelson combines with law firms in Colombia and Costa Rica
Littler Mendelson has combined with law firms in Colombia and Costa Rica as part of its push to expand into Latin America.
Littler is combining with Colombian law firm Godoy Córdoba Abogados and Costa Rican law firm BDS Asesores under the name Littler Global, according to a press release. The combination will take the form of a Swiss verein structure.
Littler opened an office in Venezuela in 2010 and an office in Mexico in 2012.
Littler’s co-managing director Jeremy Roth said in the press release that the combination gives Littler instant name recognition in Costa Rica, Colombia, Panama, El Salvador and throughout the region. “As our clients increasingly view labor and employment law as an international, rather than a strictly local challenge, Littler continues to grow to meet their needs,” he said.
