Linda Greenhouse to Teach at Yale
Linda Greenhouse, the longtime U.S. Supreme Court reporter for the New York Times, will become a journalist-in-residence and senior fellow at Yale Law School.
The Yale Daily News calls the appointment “a marquee catch” for the law school’s new law and media program, which is aimed at journalists and law students seeking careers in journalism or media law and policy. The program offers writing workshops, seminars and career counseling.
Greenhouse will help pioneer the program and will give lectures and seminars, according to a press release. She will also conduct research on the Supreme Court and constitutional law and will participate in the law school’s Supreme Court clinic.
Greenhouse accepted a buyout offer from the Times last month. She attended Yale in 1977-78 and received a Master of Studies in Law degree, a one-year degree for legal journalists. She returns to Yale in January.
