Lightning Kills DOJ Lawyer During Evening Jog
Lightning struck and killed a vacationing Justice Department lawyer Monday as he was out for an evening jog on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Matthew Glomb, 49, of Woodbridge, Va., was killed instantly, the Washington Post reports. Glomb worked in the Justice Department’s aviation-admiralty office and was a graduate of George Washington University’s law school.
Glomb was vacationing with his college son at the family’s beach house when the accident occurred, according to WJLA.com.
Glomb was known as a religious man who volunteered for a Christian youth retreat group called Chrysalis.
