A few law firm leaders maintain their own accounts on Twitter, but they apparently are in the minority.
At the top 15 most profitable law firms, there appear to be no managing partners or firm chairpersons with active Twitter accounts, according to Bloomberg BNA’s BigLaw Business.
Leaders of two other law firms who launched Twitter accounts don’t tweet much. John Quinn, name partner of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, told BigLaw Business he stopped tweeting regularly about two years ago. James Rishwain, chair of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, told the publication he has a Twitter account but he hasn’t “leveraged it as much as I’d like.”
The most active law firm leader on Twitter may be Mitch Zulkie, chair of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, the story says. He uses Twitter to announce law firm news, including court victories and a new parental leave policy. Another leader, Seyfarth Shaw chair Stephen Poor, launched a Twitter account last week.
