The boyfriend of Loredana Nesci, a lawyer who starred in a reality TV series, has been arrested on suspicion of homicide after police found Nesci’s body on Wednesday at her home in Redondo Beach, California.
Police arrested Robert Reagan, 51, who appeared in several episodes of the SundanceTV show, Loredana, Esq., which aired for six episodes, report the Daily Breeze, KABC, Deadline Hollywood, the Meriden Record-Journal and the Los Angeles Times.
Nesci appeared to have been stabbed or shot, the Daily Breeze says. The couple had a 5-year-old son, Rocco, who was not home when police arrived.
Reagan was brought in for questioning after he called police to report an emergency at the home where he lived with Nesci. Police booked Reagan on suspicion of murder two hours later, according to the Daily Breeze.
Nesci’s show, which followed Nesci’s legal work, also portrayed minor squabbles between Nesci and Reagan as they renovated their home and struggled with mounting bills. According to the Daily Breeze, Nesci’s TV persona was “a sexy, tough-as-nails defense attorney representing clients that include a medical marijuana growing operation and a nudist couple who wanted to get married naked in front of Los Angeles City Hall.”
Nesci was a Los Angeles police officer before she went to law school at Quinnipiac University. The Record-Journal interviewed two brothers who are officers with the Meriden, Connecticut, police department.
“I’ve dedicated my life to prevent this sort of tragedy, never imagined this would happen to my sister,” one of the brothers, Rob Nesci, told the Record-Journal. “She was my best friend, great family member and superb mom.”
