Lawyer, Ex-Client and 3 Supportive Friends Were Slain by Her Ex-Husband, Police Say
A shooting spree last week in and around Yuma, Ariz., focused on an angry ex-husband’s former wife, lawyer and friends who supported her, according to police investigators and court records.
In addition to Jerrold Shelley, 62, who was slain at his law office on Thursday morning, the other four victims have been identified as shooter Carey Hal Dyess’ ex-wife Theresa Lorraine Sigurdson, 61; Henry Scott Finney, 76, and his wife Cindy, age unavailable; and James Parker Simpson, 75, according to the Associated Press and KYMA News 11.
Another woman was shot by Dyess, 73, but survived. Authorities say he committed suicide later on Thursday morning.
A memorial service for the shooting victims was held yesterday.
