A St. Louis lawyer in a bathrobe dishes on “milk displacement theory” and the dangers of mixing Cocoa Puffs and Fruity Pebbles in a video that mentions his law firm just once.

“You’ve been eating cereal wrong your whole life,” lawyer Ed Herman informs his viewers. “I’m a licensed lawyer, but I’m also a licensed cereal mixologist from the University of General Mills.” Viewers are warned with an asterisk that there is no such university.

Herman, a lawyer with the personal injury law firm Brown & Crouppen, discusses “crunch-dependent” cereals that shouldn’t be mixed with milk; “milk influencer” cereals that flavor the milk and should never be mixed; and “milk hacks,” such as a Swiss Miss packet that can be used as a dairy substitute.

There is also a proper layering technique; a universal mixer cereal, Corn Pops; and a cereal that just can’t be mixed with any other cereal, Raisin Bran, Herman says in the video.

More than 223,000 people had viewed the video on YouTube as of Thursday morning, and more than 600,000 people have watched it on Facebook, he told the Riverfront Times.

The video is part of a new genre of YouTube video ads with “content only marginally linked” to what’s being promoted, according to the RiverFront Times.

It’s not Herman’s only starring role. In one video, he discusses how many laws are broken by Batman in The Dark Knight. (There is no such thing as superhero immunity, he explains in that video.) In another, he deducts that the Home Alone kid is the real villain of the movie.
