Law School Dean to be Ohio AG on Interim Basis
The governor of Ohio is replacing the state’s former attorney general, Marc Dann, with Nancy Hardin Rogers, the dean of Ohio State University’s law school.
She will serve until a new attorney general is elected, taking a leave of absence from the law school in order to do so, reports the Associated Press.
“It was important that we not have the individual who was trying to deal with the immediate problems facing the attorney general’s office to be immediately engaged in a political campaign,” said Gov. Ted Strickland.
Dann resigned earlier this month in the midst of a scandal over his alleged running of his office in a manner reminiscent of an out-of-control fraternity house.
