Law Partners Kimmel & Silverman are Still Happily Married
News of the failed romance of late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and comedienne Sarah Silverman had an unexpected effect on a Northeastern automotive lemon law firm.
Seeing headlines about the breakup of Kimmel and Silverman, clients began calling Kimmel & Silverman, the law firm, thinking that it was dissolving. But its partners, Pennsylvania attorneys Craig Kimmel and Robert Silverman–who, after 18 years of joint practice, have a relationship that has lasted far longer than the celebrity couple’s–are still together, according to a press release.
“I was quite shocked when the headline popped up on CNN.com,” says Kimmel. “I thought my relationship with Bob was going well. There were no warning signs. Then I found out about Matt Damon, and turned to my good buddy Ben Affleck for advice.”
His comment refers to a duet Silverman performed earlier this year with actor Matt Damon on Kimmel’s program. It included a mock announcement that she was having an affair with Damon. Subsequently, Kimmel struck back with a sketch in which he pretended to be having an affair of his own with actor Ben Affleck.
