Law grad is shot and killed; his body is found in parked car
A Temple University law graduate was found dead in his car in a nursing home parking lot in Delaware on Monday.
Police found the victim, 27-year-old Shazim Uppal, in the parking lot of Genesis Healthcare in Hockessin, Delaware, report Delaware Online and NBC Philadelphia. He died from gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
New Castle County Police are asking for tips in the case. Police were called to the parking lot because a Genesis Healthcare employee noticed Uppal’s Audi was parked there for a long time. Uppal was last seen alive on Sunday evening.
Uppal’s mosque said on Facebook that he was a member of one of the largest Muslim families in Delaware. Uppal graduated from law school this year.
