Law Firm Sues for Bridge Collapse Documents

A law firm that represents victims of the Minneapolis interstate bridge collapse has filed a freedom of information lawsuit seeking access to engineering documents.

Minneapolis law firm Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben wants access to records, studies and inspections related to the bridge collapse, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. It is also seeks findings from the engineering firm hired by the state to investigate.

Lawyer Jim Schwebel told the Associated Press that the engineering firm “has been given special treatment and has been allowed unfettered access to the site virtually from the beginning.”
