Don’t accuse Latham & Watkins of a cautious entrance into the Middle East. The firm will be boldly going into the region with not just one but three new offices there.

Latham will be opening offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates and Doha, Qatar, Legal Week reports. Heading the Middle East practice will be Rindala Beydoun, who is joining the firm from Vinson & Elkins. Latham will transfer a number of associates and partners “to bulk up the offices,” the story says.

The three offices will focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and project development and finance.

The ABA Journal reported on the popularity of Persian Gulf offices in the February story, “Going for Gold in the Gulf.”
