Boies Schiller Flexner is among dozens of larger and more profitable law firms that received paycheck protection loans.

Boies Schiller received between $5 million and $10 million, report Bloomberg Law, Law.com and Law360. The New York Times and the Washington Post also mentioned law firms in their coverage of the loans.

A law firm that has represented President Donald Trump, Kasowitz Benson Torres, also received a loan through the program.

A spokesperson for Kasowitz Benson Torres told the New York Times and the Washington Post that the loan, combined with expense cutbacks, “enabled us to preserve the jobs of our hundreds of employees at full salary and benefits without interruption.”

Other law firms that have worked for Trump received loans, the National Law Journal reports. They include Harder, which represents Trump and his brother in lawsuits against publishers and media companies; Zeichner Ellman & Krause, where Trump’s former impeachment lawyer Robert Ray is a partner; Spears & Imes, which represented Trump in a fraud case; and the American Center for Law and Justice, where Trump’s former impeachment lawyer Jay Sekulow is chief counsel.
