LA Judge Lectures Lawyers in Somewhat 'Shambolic' Manslaughter Trial of Michael Jackson's Doc
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge took lawyers for both sides to task yesterday in the high-profile involuntary manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson’s former personal physician.
Judge Michael Pastor was unhappy that the attorneys had been late in the morning and at their snippy remarks to each other, reports Sky News.
The United Kingdom-based news agency described the first few days of the trial as “a little bit shambolic” at times, using a British slang term that is thought to have been derived from the word shambles.
A constant chorus of objections and witnesses that obviously remain very loyal to their late employer, Michael Jackson, hasn’t helped the defense score points in the case, the article notes. However, the trial, which is expected to last a month, is still in its initial stages.
