After deliberating for days, an Ohio jury has convicted a suspended juvenile court judge of a felony but deadlocked on eight other charges.

Judge Tracie Hunter could get as much as 18 months after being convicted of unlawful interest in a public contract in the Hamilton County case, but she likely faces only probation, according to the Associated Press and the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The conviction concerns her efforts to help her brother, who was fired for punching a teenage prisoner, regain his job.

She was also accused of backdating court documents and misusing a court credit card in tampering, forgery and theft counts on which she was not convicted.

It is unclear whether the government will retry her on those counts.
