Jury awards $55M to sportscaster Erin Andrews in lawsuit over nude video

After about eight hours of deliberation, a Nashville jury on Monday awarded $55 million to sportscaster Erin Andrews in her lawsuit over a nude video taken from an adjoining hotel room by a stalker.
While the jury found Michael David Barrett 51 percent responsible for taking the videos through a peephole and posting them online, it also agreed with Andrews that the companies that owned and operated the Nashville Marriott—West End Hotel Partners and Windsor Capital Group, respectively—were negligent in allowing Barrett to find out she was staying there and allowing him to book a room next to hers, NBC News and Sports Illustrated reported.
Respectively, Barrett will owe about $28 million and the hotel companies will owe about $26 million.
Andrews had sought $75 million.
