Judge's wife charged with attempted murder, accused of poisoning him with antifreeze
The wife of an Ohio judge was arrested Monday and has been charged with attempted murder. Authorities said she poisoned her husband, Ashtabula County Juvenile and Probate Judge Charles Hague, with antifreeze, earlier this year.
Carla Hague, a 71-year-old retired nurse, is also charged with felonious assault, reports the Star Beacon. She and the judge have been married for 45 years.
Hague, who was hospitalized on Sept. 15, is on medical leave but reportedly may return to work early next year. He has been on the bench for 20 years.
