Only four months ago, Dechert was proclaiming victory in a stunning raid that reportedly stole all five partners from Chadbourne & Parke’s office in Moscow.

But the New York City-based international law firm fought back, and managed to retain two of the five partners. And today, in the latest skirmish on the Russian front, Chadbourne reports that it has lured back a third, Konstantin Konstantinov.

“Mr. Konstantinov had practiced with Chadbourne for over 11 years. For a short period of time he worked at Dechert, which established a presence in Russia recently. He has now returned to Chadbourne,” the firm announces in a press release.

Admitted in both New York and Russia, he counsels clients on international commercial and financial matters.

Dechert, which is based in Philadelphia, replaced a May 8, 2009 press release on its website announcing the acquisition of the five Chadbourne partners and the launch of its new Russian practice with a May 22, 2009 press release announcing the acquisition of three Chadbourne partners.

The firm does not appear to have issued any further press release on the matter and did not immediately respond to an ABA Journal request for comment.
