Husson U Nixes Law School Plan
Following a second thumbs-down by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court on a proposal that it should agree prospectively to allow graduates of a planned law school at Husson University to take the state bar exam, the university has pulled the plug on the project.
Its board of trustees decided today to give up the idea of offering a law degree, at least for the present, according to the Associated Press and the Bangor Daily News.
A copy of a brief press release today announcing the decision is posted on the website for the Bangor facility.
